There’s a difference in my mind of “racial epithets” shouted after a fight breaks out for different reasons and one where race is the underlying motivation to beat the shit out of someone. This was a case of whites beating a black [1] 1 I’m basing this on perpetrator’s names (“Christopher” and not “Tyrell”) and the victim’s country of origin, Jamaica.and the incident labeled as racially motivated. 2 Boy, brothas just can’t assault a teenage girl without a couple of guys trying step in. Again, in this case the melee doesn’t start as a white beatdown, yet authorities give them the benefit of the doubt they so deserve.Read more of “CONEY ISLAND MOB BEATS EX-MARINES RESCUING GIRL - New York Post” Contrast that bit of selective reasoning to this case [2] where a pack of black thugs assault two white marines shouting “Hey white boys, you’re in the hood now!” yet it shan’t be labeled a race crime. Seems fair.
A little more about the example case:
