Washington DC councilmen know best for city, country
The Supreme Court will decide on whether a gun control measure in Washington, D.C., contradicts the rights guaranteed to citizens by the Second Amendment of The United States Constitution. The city of Washington D.C. bans the citizens’ right to keep and bear arms, but all that could change. Libertarian lawyer Robert A. Levy finances and brings the case before the Supreme Court in March on behalf of all Americans wanting the continued right to own a firearm. [22. New York Times]

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
The BBC News website states: “But states which wish to impose gun control measures argue that it only means a ‘militia’, ie a modern-day police force, is entitled to be armed.” A modern-day police force is exactly the entity from which our right to bear arms guarantees to protect.
Anyway, Washington, D.C. has the highest murder rates, and ranks in the top ten cities with the highest number of blacks. [11. Infoplease]
